Our Burns Night event this year was another huge sell out success. If you didn’t manage to bag yourself a ticket, take a look at our video to see what we got up to on the night!
Celebrations began at 7pm, with guests being piped to their seats in true Scottish style. The classic three-course meal, which included the well-known haggis, neeps, and tatties, gave our guests the taste of Scotland, finished off with the finest dram of Whisky.
What a fantastic night! On December 15, customers joined us to at The White Lion Hankelow for an amazing Christmas Party joiner night. It proved to be an incredible evening, take a look at the footage from Little Forest Films to see what we got up to!

Our first Murder Mystery, ‘Death by Chocolate’ by Lesley Gunn was a great hit and Alsager Community Theatre put on a great show. On 12th April, we hosted our first charity pub quiz, raising money towards Macmillan cancer support and Leighton hospital Neonatal unit. A great night was had by all, including our little croissant mascot!
We had a great night for our Wine Tasting evening, hosted by the Director at House of Townend – Neil Goldie. We learnt some tricks and secrets to professional wine tasting, along with the background on the wines, where they come from, how they are made and what makes them so special, and why they were chosen to feature on The White Lion wine list!
We had so much fun on Burns Night celebrating the great bard, Robert Burns.
We had the pleasure of welcoming a member of the South Cheshire Pipe band to pipe in our guests, and had a great time listening to the Burns poem recital to ceremonially address the haggis – toasted with a with a nip of whiskey of course!
